"The Picture of Dorian Gray" (2010)

to the big screen adaptation of the work Portrait Dorian Gray, written by Oscar Wilde .

Dorian Gray (Ben Barnes) is a handsome aristocrat who returns to his London home after spending the isolated adolescence in the field. Overwhelmed by the London nightlife, Dorian is immersed in it from the hand of Lord Henry Wottom (Colin Firth), who shows the most secret and peculiar to the English capital.

Dorian soon becomes obsessed with attaining eternal youth. A portrait of him painted by Basil Hallward (Ben Chaplin) will become a tangible reminder of the serious faults over time. Unlike the rest of mortals, the handsome Dorian remains indifferent to the succession of years and is the picture instead, which takes ages and physical and moral degradation ...

You do not know if you are watching a movie of terrorism, one of age or degeneration, of the same.
In this influences the interpretation of Ben Barnes, who happens to be an innocent (and sometimes stupid) girl from the provinces (even in childhood was lived in London) through the change to try everything to end up a "cuasidiablo."

Otherwise, very good atmosphere of the Victorian era, and also to highlight the zero support from other actors.
